Public Street & Highway Lighting - Rate 42, 70

Applicability

Applicable to town and highway department consumers and to feed lots with 5 or more lights, for dusk to dawn street and highway lighting, subject to the conditions of service and the established rules of the Association.

Availability

Available to the town of Akron, Otis and Eckley and villages of 14 or more consumers for lighting its streets, alleys and parks when taken at the phase and voltage of the corporation street lighting system, and the feed lots requiring five (5) or more fixtures, and to single fixtures on an existing pole.

Rate Per Month (Each Lamp)

When fixtures have been furnished by the town, billing will be at the next lowest wattage rate.

Surcharge of Taxes

Each bill for electric service rendered within the municipalities of Akron, Otis, or Eckley or other municipality which levies a franchise, license or occupational tax, will include as a surcharge on revenue a percentage equal to the said tax in the amount of 3%.

Terms of Payment

In the event the current monthly bill is not paid within twenty (20) days from the billing date, it will be delinquent.  At that time, each account with a delinquent balance will be assessed a $10.00 late charge.  Bills that remain delinquent at the start of the next billing cycle will be assessed an interest charge of 1% of the amount unpaid at that time and may also be subject to disconnection for non-payment.  However, disconnection for non-payment shall not relieve the consumer of responsibility for the payment of the bill and additional interest penalties shall be added at the beginning of each subsequent billing cycle at the rate of 1% per month.
