Y-W Electric has received reports of our members being contacted by persons claiming to be Y-W employees. The number displayed on your caller ID will say Y-W Electric, but please do not be fooled by these calls.
Calls you might receive from Y-W are:
- Planned outages – Dispatch will call with outage information or Linemen will knock on your door
- Billing – You may receive an automated call with information to contact Y-W about your bill or a personal contact will be made by our Linemen
If a caller asks for your bank account or credit card information, please hang up and call Y-W Electric directly at (970)345-2291 or (800)660-2291. Please do not give out this information until you have confirmed with our office this is a valid call. Our employees are always happy to assist you with any questions you may have.
